2018 Junior Livestock Show and Sale Book

The purpose of the Tooele County Livestock Show is to promote and encourage FFA and 4-H Club members of this county in the feeding, production, and improvement of livestock.

Monday – July 30th, 2018
8:00 A.M Set-up Pens-everyone encouraged to help.
Wednesday – August 1st, 2018
9:00 A.M Breeding Sheep Show.
5:00 – 8:00 P.M Receive and weigh-in Beef, Sheep, Goats and Swine
6:00 – 7:30 P.M Written Test (start test at any time, finish by 7:30)
7:00 P.M Exhibitors Meeting
7:30 – 8:30 P.M Junior Judging Contest
Thursday – August 2nd, 2018
8:00 A.M Market Swine Classes
30 min after swine Market Goat Classes
30 min after goats Market Sheep Classes
1 hour after sheep Market Beef Classes
30 min after beef Pee Wee Showmanship Contest
Friday – August 3rd, 2018
8:00 A.M Showmanship Swine
30 min after swine Showmanship Sheep

30 min after beef Awards Ceremony / Ice Cream Social
7:00 P.M Beef, Sheep, Goats and Swine permitted to leave show grounds
Saturday – August 4th, 2018
7:00 A.M Buyers & Exhibitors Breakfast (All buyers and youth exhibitors will receive tickets for breakfast; family members & parents may purchase a breakfast ticket for $3.00 each.).
9:00 A.M Sale of Market Livestock All Grand & Reserve Champions will sell first : Beef, Swine, Lambs and Goats. All beef will be sold, then hogs, lambs and goats until all eligible animals are sold
Monday – August 6th, 2018
8:00 A.M Clean-up pens, everyone encouraged to help

Classes:Ewe Lambs (less than 1 year old), Aged Ewes (1 to 10 years old), Champion Ewe Class

Ram Lambs (less than 1 years old), Aged Rams (1 to 10 years old), Champion Ram Class

Small Animal Contest

August 2nd – 4th 2018

Check in time: 8-9am

Judging: Aug 3rd 10 am

The Small Animal Contest is open to all residents of Tooele County. Examples of small animals are: chickens, pigeons and rabbits. Participants are responsible for food and water for animal twice per day. Participants agree to spend 1 hour during the fair managing the contest area.
